I clearly remember playing my Genesis when i was a kid, playing Sonic 2, Sonic 3 & Sonic & Knuckles. I never EVER passed Chemical Plant because the first two were the best Sonic stages and music. Sonic 3 was a big change though, and I never once put the Sonic 3 cartridge ontop of the Sonic & Knuckles cart and I felt really stupid when i found out. I also played Street Fighter 2 and Mortal Kombat 2, I always pick Ryu since his gi or whatever the heck its called is Baby blue, and I always love his fireball pose, wishing i would throw Hadoukens in real life. I picked Sub zero because....I like the color blue. I never once seen a fatality until Mortal Kombat 4, My mind was blown when I saw you can perform fatalities in the older games. Streets of Rage 2 introduced me to arcade style beat'em ups, I never played Final Fight until my neighbor got Final Fight 3. I loved the music in the game though.
Oh man, the big one that is literally the scariest intro i will never forget.....Jurassic Park for the Genisis. Even though i didn't play it as much that intro will never leave my head. I also played Beavis and Butthead Power Rangers, and Tiny Toons adventures but I never really understood it.
Then moving on to the Dreamcast. My Aunt bought it for me and my brother, it came with some demos, but the one that literally hooked me in was when i found out that Sonic steps into the 3D world with Sonic Adventure.I had so much fun with the game I kept playing it, at the time i thought this was the only level it had but i was dead wrong. It also had Power Stone, which till this day I play it. I LOVED the power stones, transforming your character and having 2 ultimate moves, So my brother REALLY wanted to get Sonic Adventure and Powerstone, one trip to K Mart, he got them. He also got Marvel VS Capcom1 and 2, back then I REALLY REALLY loved MvC2, So many characters and colors and supers. Now.....I hate it....top tiers just destroyed my fun with the game.
I played the heck out of Sonic Adventure and Powerstone, when the sequels were announced, my eyes lit up and they both were fun. But then Sega was no longer in the gaming business anymore. So I just sticked with Nintendo since Sonic Adventure 2 is getting a rerelease with new content only on Gamecube during that time.
Now, I just wasn't a big of a Sega fan than I was back then since their choices always lead to stupidity, not to mention having a very small budget. Sega was my second favorite company, now you got the 2 other sheep trying to compete with PC, Sony and Microsoft. I want to like Sony like i did with Sega, but they act like a holes most of the time, Microsoft.....I just don't like them.
