Aaaaand updated. I about freaked out when 45 minutes later and 90% done the WiiU decided to go error on me. Thank God it started where it left off. Time to see those faster load times in action!
Some people always have a cellphone on them. I'm so awesome I always have a 3DS.

Anybody know how to put it into standby mode? All I seem to do is turn it off (red light) I have Rayman downloading now and wanted to try the standby thing, but can't figure It out.
I remember reading that it only turns orange when the standby downloads are in progress. I think the red light means its working.

I'm getting much better network downloads speeds on the USB network adapter with the latest update, gone from 2M to 20M+, much better.

Glad to hear, I will update my testing thread soon to see what it can do from the proxy cache. (the maximum speed the console can do)
Was that to the internal memory or a HDD?

I still get long loading times after the update. They improved the speed from a game to home but it still takes long in other areas.
Well in-game is unlikely to have improved, its not like they suddenly doubled the speed of the optical drive.
In the OS its definitely improved, although I still feel its a lot slower than it should be. Why is it my phone can run circles around the Wii U with exactly the same amount of RAM and a far FAR slower CPU?

The update has made loading things from my external hard drive take 3 times as long as it did prior to the update.
