Hey all.

I recently bought a Wii U and everything works fine with the U software, however when I switch to the standard Wii menu, I am met with a black border around my screen and a very low quality image.

It seems that the Wii U's Wii emulator doesn't support my HD monitor's size. I am using one of these: http://www.amazon.co...0?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I have my Wii Us resolution settings at 1080p, I've tried it at 420p too. It doesn't seem to affect the emulators image. I looked for a graphics setting area on the Wii emu, but I couldn't find anything.

I will update this with a picture if needed.

Any ideas?

Appreciate the help!

You have to set the monitor to either zoom or stretch to get rid of the border, the best setting is probably maintain aspect ratio, and I think there is an option in the Wii mode system settings to change resolution.

I have the choices of the following on my monitor.

Full

Overscan

1:1

Overscan stretches it a bit, but not much. The rest keep it as it is.

Hmm, what display options are in the Wii mode settings menu?

'Save Data' and 'Channels' are the only two options that come up when I press the Wii button in the bottom left of the Wii Menu.

I'm using an HDMI cable if that helps.
