The Wii U is IMO the only legit console. Other consoles are only poor excuses for a PC. Think of it.

That's a matter of opinion though and one I whole heartedly disagree with. The other consoles are no more poor excuses for PC's then then the Wii U is. If anything the fact that the PS4 and likely the Xbox successor will use PC components makes them better as porting multiplatform games from the PC to them will be much easier. PC"s are a lot of hassle to upgrade and just upgrading the graphics card can cost as much as a console. Besides I am a Mac user and won't go back to Windows and all the problems it can have.

When I say poor excuse for a PC, I mean that you can have everything that you have on PS360 on a PC. The games, the controller etc. You can't have a GamePad or Wii motes on a PC. That's what I actally meant. You can prefer a PS360 over a PC, but fact is, they are almost the same, consoles having less possibilities. That's a matter of opinion though and one I whole heartedly disagree with. I understand you like consoles more, but that's why I would choose the Wii U as the only "true console".
In fact, lets see it that way. You get a PC and a Wii U. You miss almost no games. Get a PC and a PS360, you miss several IPs. That's my point.
Sorry if it's hard to understand, I'm typing on my phone.

Yes but you forget there are a number games which are exclusive to the consoles and never come out on PC. A lot of these are top quality and worth playing. Not to mention if you want to game on a PC you have to continually spend time and money upgrading it to keep up with all the new games. PC's are way too much hassle in general and as far as computers go Macs are far bette anyway but that's a discussion for another topic and thread.

its generation of consoles and cheaper then ps4, and xbox 720 plus if you are wii gamer wii u can play wii games also after the updates, compare to ps4 and xbox 720, microsoft and sony not planing their next generation gaming consoles the ps4 and xbox 720 to not be backwards compatible playable discs of its previous versions, for example ps4 isnt backwards compatible playable discs of ps3 and xbox 720 isnt backwards compatible playable discs of xbox 360 if want play the games on ps3 on the ps4 going buying them online through sony website and same goes xbox 720 and wii u is only one of next generation gaming consoles that backwards compatible playable discs of its previous version, and wii games are becoming rare nowadays to buy, gamestop in ireland has stop selling wii games, smyths and argos only ones left here to buy wii games eventually the wii games will be stopped selling all together, so keep the cycle of nintendo games going have to buy wii u eventually, and wii u is cheapest of 3 next generation of consoles

You should buy one when there's a dent library, there's only like one or two games worth owning.

Yup, I agree, it's totally a matter of opinion. The PS360 exclusives don't interest me in general, except some like MGS, and I have time to upgrade and take care of a PC, but that's where we're different!Yes but you forget there are a number games which are exclusive to the consoles and never come out on PC. Well, it plays games and people think it's an iPad and a Wii. Isn't that what people want? Games, iPad, Wii?
Pretty much. There are some differences between iPad and Wii U like one is mostly an indie games platform (iPad) and one is mostly a commercial games platform (Wii U), but I digress. Both do both.

The iPad is more then just a games platform though.

Give me some reasons...
I got three of them
1)Because it is not as underpowered as some people think.
2) Exclusives...
3) You don't have to believe me, wait until e3 and YOU be the judge. Nintendo knows what they have to prove.

You need someone else to give you reasons why to buy something? Sounds like you don't really want to buy it, or you just want an excuse to waste money.
Only one reason you need.
DO I LIKE THE SYSTEM?

You can not possibly be serious..... Wii U isnt getting a fraction of 3rd parties that ps4/nextbox will, heck, its barelly getting anything new that ps360 is getting...... To the OP, Nintendo is a first party console, if you enjoy those games, get them, if you enjoy 3rd party more, wait....

I got one about a month ago and have no regrets whatsoever. Mario Brothers and Nintendoland still keep me busy. Just got Sonic Racing Game- love it and I'm about to get Madden '13.... Excited about the Olympic Game, New Zelda and MarioKart.....
