Remember Miyamoto saying that he couldnt imagine a new fzero game because he couldnt think of something creativily new? Same goes for WaveRace....but wait, what's this?

The next paper and article gives us a little glance behind the many engines and plugins used in videogames. In this case it is about position based fluids. I think this is an awesome plugin that makes it possible to use realistic water behaviour in realtime 3d engines.

Now imagine putting some scripts behind this tech and use it for a waverace game... Revolutionary. Not only would the wind and surroundings influence the waves but also the other boats and waterscooters.

That would be really cool.

Wave Race still has the best water physics i have seen in a game and that would only add up to the immersion!

I would love to see a new Wave Race; I loved the one on Gamecube, and it would be a great showcase for water physics, just like the previous games were for their respective systems.

However, if there would be a new Wave Race, there needs to be a new 1080 Snowboarding. They are sort of like brother and sister games, and they could call it 1080p Snowboarding.

If a certain user on IGN is right - and all things point to that - a Wave Race game is coming.

I never understood why Wii never got one...

because the wii was basically a gamecube with motion control. And the physics shown on the video, I don't think the wii u will be capable to doing that, nor does it have PhysX, its amd remember.

I didn`t expect that kind of stuff, but N64 and GC had all great physics, so why couldn`t Wii had one Wave Race game? It even had the motion controls to make it better.
