You should call Nintendo support and ask them to move the account over to the new serial number.  I have heard of them sending new units out with this already done.

That is a really good question. Unfortunately, I don't know the answer off hand. I imagine that will involve contacting Nintendo, which is the next recommended step. Whatever you find out through them, please let the rest of us know. :)

I think you have to have both units for proof.

What happened, because when i click new user it says "Add User from an Existing Nintendo Networ ID" and it works like a charm...

Nintendo I'd cannot be transferred to a different console at the momemt, Nintendo says so themselves. But call Nintendo, because thay shouls dtill be able to resolve your problem.

My 1st WiiU did the same thing. Unfortunately you are just going to have to make a new NID on your 2nd Wiiu like I did :(

Did you not send your Wii U in for repair?

If not, no.

They should've transferred your purchases and stuff over, right?

Get in contact with them.

One thing Nintendo needs to do is simplify this process, they also need to tie purchased games to accounts, I really hope this happens one day.
