As it's going to be revealed at E3 this year.
What are you hoping?

-Option to turn off certain items.
-Life mode, if you come in 1-4 you win a life. 5-8 don't win or lose a life. 9-12 lose a life.
Great for parties of 5 or more. If you run out of lives you're out of the game.
- Double Dash rider mode.
-Body switching item (everyone switches players for 10 seconds and try to sabotage their places.)
-Flying vehicles.
-Bigger events occurring in the levels.

 

- Maybe the Gamepad can be used to cause problems in the level for the racers to try to dodge. That would be fun!

Character Specific items should come back, but this time specific to each character, not every pair like in Double Dash. The ability to turn off items in a similar vein to Smash Bros would be great, and get rid of that godforsaken rubber band AI!

Oh yeah, and bring back the Bob-omb Blast mode. That was amazing.

Some races that are longer, more laps which in turn will allow players to make a "pit stop" where you can upgrade kart. Upgrades are available based upon experience points gained during the race which allow for unique upgrades.

All I want, all I have ever wanted from Mario kart, is for the blue shell to be gone. Forever. If they do that, even with SNES graphics, I will be satisfied. Oh, and a better online is a must.

More double dash gameplay, like when you hit a wall you bounce of it, not go in a dead stop and have to accelerate back to full speed again, just bounce of it and slow down a little.

Don't go in a dead stop when hit by a banana, just slide for a while and carry on going

That is all i really want, i find it so boring that when you get hit by something you go from (FOR EXAMPLE) 100 MPH, hit a wall then go back to 0 MPH and have to accelerate back to 100 MPH again.

I would like to see missions return from the MK ds version but maybe some could be multiplayer. I can imagine four players in karts fighting one boss who is controlled by the gamepad. Also it would be cool to see tracks that have laps that are more like the Wii Sports Resort tracks from MK7.

I would hate if its just an Upscaled version of MK7. I think they should ditch the gliders and propellers and just bring it back to the roots of the series, with a new fun aspect.

No third party, ever
Nothing but Mario Series and the some Donkey Kong series. I can handle donkey and diddly kong, but no Dixie or K.Rool

If it comes out this year I believe day 1 DLC is a must because of the the next gen. It would definently allow more content that would drag people away.

Like, 24 characters from the start, then 24 more to unlock and 2 miis. I like lots of characters

8 Nitro, 8 Retro cups

DLC can come in the form of
-Karts / Bikes
-Characters
-Cups
-Items

lots of maps, more items, blueshells that can hit people on the way, and are dodgeable for people with extreme skill.

 

no BS items like the thundercloud backfire. no joke easy maps, like luigy circuit in wii version.

I think it would be fun if we had some more characters like Metroid and Vanellope Von Schweets as unlockable characters.

Seriously, I think they can provide new tracks, new shell power ups, perhaps add characters from other video game studios, easy online multiplayer, and tie it all together with wii u graphics and it would be awesome.
