Oh, the woes of being a broke gamer. I can't afford a GBA and Pokemon Fire Red, so I'm playing on an emulator (yeah, whatever. Don't judge me).

I caught me a shiny Pidgey legitimately, but my buddies automatically accuse me of hacking the ROM in order to have obtained it. Bummer. Well, at least i know I didn't cheat. Caught that sucker without no hacks.

Darn my being broke.

I'm broke too, but I'd rather save than use emulators, I used one once and nearly got killed by a Nintendo Ninja.....

I have cought 5 shinies in my Pokemon playing career. I've been a pretty lucky guy!
1. Tyrogue in Silver
2. Trapinch in Ruby
3. Rhyhorn in safari zone in leafgreen
4. Hoothoot in Pearl
5. Feebas in Pearl
It has been 5 years since I have caught my last shiny...

I was once known here as KillerMario, but since I really like Banjo-Kazooie, I changed my display name to show them my respect :)

Well, I'm saving up for a refurbished 3DS from Nintendo, so I can play Pokemon X/Y. This will make up for it... I think.

To be fair at this point I doubt you can buy it new, so not like any of your money would've went to Nintendo.

I don't consider it taking money from Nintendo if the game has been defunct for over 10 years :P

Still though, he could buy a Gameboy SP off Ebay for probably $30 and the game for probably $10.

True. But I don't see why Chrop was treating it like he robbed a pregnant woman.

Again you seem to forget that some people can't always buy brand new products. The main reason why the Xbox One is going to not be a huge seller.

It's still considered piracy/illegal activities. Stop spinning it in ways to benefit you.

He was probably just joking.

I still recommend buying the actual product though so you don't have friends accusing you of hacking and people ribbing at you.

You know you can be reported on the official piracy site right? They can track your IP and give you a big fat fine, and if you don't pay it you get taken to court, don't show up they come and arrest you. Happened to my one of my friends. He pirated an old movie, he thought with your mentality, and he's doing 8 months in jail because he didn't want to pay the fine.

Publicize legal actions and raids taken against infringers, especially for online piracy, to increase awareness and deterrence,” is Nintendo’s first suggestion.

In addition there should be stronger penalties against online pirates as well as criminal prosecutions of major infringers.

“Bring criminal prosecutions of major infringers, including those facilitating piracy on the Internet. The courts must impose stronger penalties against IP crimes (both traditional forms of piracy and online piracy) to raise awareness and foster deterrence,” Nintendo writes.

It's none of your business. I'm not leaking personal information to strangers. You're more then welcome to google the many cases where people were arrested for piracy/illegal activities though.

I believe Zinix. But this says nothing about the issue of him and Rose Red arguing about anything and everything, and everywhere.

The ratio of people busted for piracy and the people that get by with it is almost one sided. Even during the napster days it was only a small fraction that actually got in trouble.

Zinix is the one who decided to seek all of my posts and try to contradict them. If I was against him I wouldn't have hit like on one of his comments earlier.
