It may be US-only though, as I had completed the purchase and now it is saying that because I'm an international customer I cannot manage my account. It hasn't charged my bank or paypal yet, so that's good.

You'd need a pretty high end PC to run this game at even 30 FPS

My laptop meets the minimum specifications barely - Nvidia 620M and i5-3317U (1.7GHz, 2.6Ghz burst).

 

I did purchase it though, even though I shouldn't have.

 

Going to have to wait for it to finish downloading before seeing if it runs or not.

About as well a thought out a plot as infi.ite compared to bs1 and ss1 and 2.

I even played through 1999 mode. Which was nothing more than a watered down painful memory of how bad it is now.

It has moments of brilliance, the art is fantastic and the music gorgeous. But it cant change or hide the fact they finally completely changed shock from a metroidvania to a linear wave after wave shooter, and the story and characters were complete garbage compared to ss/bs1. And thats hard to do with a paralell dimensions theme. I LOVE parallel dimensions.

The game is a dissapointment to the shock series. And a testament to everything this garbage generation has done to gaming.

Now I have a question for you. Have you played the system shocks?

I played the first version, and got stuck at one checkpoint with too many enemies and not enough space to defend and attack.

I much prefer the open air of Infinity.

...... Did you ever think of NOT trying to murder everything in sight? Or destroying the computer nodes to remove security? Or gaining door lock codes and lock security out? Or finding one of the alternate paths to the objective?

You didnt think of trying something different when rambo didnt work?

I can see why you prefer
Kill everything in sight, door opens. Sometimes I do too. Its fun. But when I dont, when I want a deeper experience then just hold forward and blast everything =win, I would play a system shock, or metroid.

Before system shock there were thousands of those, they were called doom clones. A lot of them were fun. There are millions of those now, they are called 99% of the garbage on the market, its so saturated now that its not fun for me, im beyond sick of it.

The shock series was one of the rare games that was more than that. It was unique. Now, its not.

Yeah, thats security cameras / security nodes. You gotta sabatoge the level security or youll get swarmed hardcore. Shodan can basically create life, that just wants to kill you, and if she knows where you are shell just flood the area, fighting on that scale is pointless, you are a hacker, not a soldier, you are never a soldier in shock games nor anyone with any combat experience... (Well, until infinite). Be the hacker.

I have to admit that's a bit of a new concept... The most I've done for FPS would be Portal and portal 2, where the hacking is not done by me.
