Could this mean the game will come earlier than expected? Will a trailer be shown in a nintendo direct later this year? Will it be playable next E3? Thoughts?

You really think they'd show a trailer mere months into development? They were probably thinking about throwing some small details out at a roundtable and maybe a piece of concept art or a possible theme.

Considering they used the word "sharing" I'd expect it to be in some visual form, like when they announced Wind Waker HD.

It is not a few months in development. They have been talking about this a couple years ago. When the wii u came out they said (or implied, either way it was obvious) that they were going to make a zelda game for the wii u, around that time would have been idea discussing and early concepts. Since the time has passed. I believe they probably have a working build of somekind maybe it is not polished though so idk

If they did, then there would be two awesome awesome awesome key games on Wii U coming out in a year or two (smash bros and zelda,if they showed it I mean).
