I picked up Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons on the 3Ds eShop and read that when you finish one you get a special code that affects things in the other game.

Does it really matter which one you play first at all?  Anyone like or recommend one or the other?  I was leaning towards Oracle of Seasons just because changing seasons sounds cooler to me than time travel.

Lol that was the exact same thinking I had when I had to pick

It really doesn't matter; both games are pretty similar in terms of story and gameplay, and I don't think one is harder than the other. Since you like the seasonal changing, I would go with Seasons first, but it's all personal preference.

All I know is that Oracle of Ages is a good game. I haven't played Seasons. Ages was hard and I imagine Seasons is too.

Well, here's the main difference between the two.

Oracle of Seasons has more of an action aspect to it, as in fights and bosses, etc.

Oracle of Ages has more of a puzzle aspect to it, as in...puzzles. Yeah.

Take your pick from there, really. They're both quite good games.

As Pappa GameCollector said, Seasons is more action while Ages is more puzzles.  Having beaten both on the Gameboy Color, my preference is to play Seasons first.  Just know that you have to do some searching for your first sword.  Also, make sure you write down any, "secrets" characters tell you during the game.  Those are passwords used to unlock things when you play the other game.

Finally! A reason to use the Notes Feature!
