Hiya! It's a me, Auzzie Wingman!

I've become an eShop addict, shortly after discovering that eShop Cards had hit Australian shores. I've already bought over $100 worth of eShop Cards (because I can) and I figured I'd make a thread about it.

What this thread will generally hold is:
1) Recommendations for games that you should download for the eShop.
2) Helping people come to a decision about what they should download from the eShop.
3) Giving insight about a title beyond what the eShop tells you.
4) 3DS specific titles.

This is a 'by the community, for the community' sort of thing.

===============================
How to recommend a title (or more)
===============================

It's simple really. There are two stages:
1) You make a post, briefly reviewing your title in question. It doesn't have to have ratings or such in any form, just what you purely experienced as the player, and how the game essentially works. I've noticed that, once you start putting a rating on something, people miss out on an awesome experience... Samurai Warriors Chronicles anyone?

2) The like system. It sounds... weird. Like a lack of variant control or something... Basically, if you believe someone made a good review, cut down deep into the truth of the game, or it shares a similar experience to what you have of the game (obviously, all in a positive and therefore promoting manner), then you like. I'll take really well liked titles, stick them to the recommendations, and put a link to your post. That way, I don't have to retype your words.

=============
3DS DLC Titles
=============
  • Pokedex 3D
  • 3D Classics - Excitebike
  • 3D Classics - Xevious
  • Let's Golf 3D
  • 3D Classics - Urban Champion
  • 3D Classics - Twinbee
==============================

Virtual Console Recommendations
==============================
  • Gargoyle's Quest
  • Links Awakening DX
  • Mario's Picross
========================

DSiWare Recommendations
========================
  • Shantae: Risky's Revenge
  • The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition
  • Dark Void Zero
  • Mario VS Donkey Kong: Minis March Again
  • Dr. Mario Express
  • Zenonia
  • Plants VS Zombies
--- Why do this, Auzzie? Why you so bored again? And why is Jigglypuff a topic tag?---

There are several reasons:
1) I could use this thread a lot.
2) I wanted to give back to the community.
3) I felt I'd get a better response here due to the sense of community I get from here.
4) Because I can. And I did.

Also, Jigglypuff is a topic tag, because that's what I do to tell others the thread is MINE!

For Virtual Console, I'd like to add Gargoyles quest. It's a Gameboy game that's a unqiue but fun fusion of an RPG and a 2d sidescroller. I'd definitely check it out if you enjoy 2D sidescrollers
For DSiWare I can truely recomend from the bottom of my heart Shantae: Risky's Revenge. The game is a must buy for the 3DS e-shop, being the best DSiWare title ever released. The game play very much like a fusion between Mario and Metroid, with it's central game play mechanic being that Shantae can shape shift into different animals, and it's an absolute blast. For those who want a better idea of what the game is like, I've included a trailer.

Also, I do believe that the correct name of 3DS downloadable titles is 3DSWare.

Nope. I don't know why they don't call it that, but they simply don't.

Actually, Every source I Find calls it 3DSware. IGN, Kotaku, Gonintendo

I just want to say that The Legend of Zelda: Four swords is out on eShop. I heard that it will only be available until February, so download it soon because it's free!

Hmm...I can vouch for a few DSiWare games.

Dark Void Zero is a classic NES-style shooter, taking hints from Metroid and Castlevania. Although it is short with only three levels and three boss fights, this is a great game for just $5. (500 Points)

Mario VS Donkey Kong: March of the Minis is an amazing puzzle game, with loads of content, and a level creator for just the $8 price. (800 points) ...(at least, I think it's 800.)

Dr. Mario Express is a good game, although the puzzling lack of online support, and price tag of $10 (or $8 I can't remember, once again. :mellow: ) may keep you away. :S

Photo Dojo is simply a fun game for the $2 it costs.

Hehe, this usually happens when I make a topic I'm supposed to update often. I make it, then it's like I've pretended it never existed, therefore adding to the community with minimalist work.

Updated now... I guess.

I recommend Game Boy Donkey Kong on the Virtual Console. It's a remake of the original Donkey Kong arcade game where you go through the original four screens of the arcade game, but right where the arcade game ended Donkey Kong grabs Pauline again, making you go through 100 more unique levels. It is easily the greatest remake in the history of video games.

Don't let it die as it's a really nice idea. Any new games anyone feels like adding? I heard a lot of good stuff about Solatorobo? Is it any good?

Scratch my question:

Does anyone know a good Wii Ware or VC game (on Wii) for exactly 1100 points?
