It's the same game but with Luigi?

No Tom.... thatd be silly
It clearly states a "NEW ADVENTURE" starring Luigi
They wouldnt dare release the same game over...and over....and over....and over

It's hard, ish.
Annoying.
Short levels.
Not what I wanted from NSMB DLC.
Still decent though.

I like it because I can play with my parents when they play as Nabbit.
Posted 20 June 2013 - 06:27 PM
if you buy disc version of this can it still play the New Super Mario version?

No, the physical copy of New Super Luigi U only contains New Super Luigi U. It does not include New Super Mario Bros. U.

Although some many not like these features, it certainly is well done DLC.

Hard? Yes it is with Luigi's unique characteristics... play with Nabbit LMAO.

- 82 brand new levels
- Nabbit character / playable
- Luigi has unique physics - jumps higher , stays in air longer, slides when stopping
- 100 second timed levels
Although some many not like these features, it certainly is well done DLC.

Hard as in the platforms are placed in a way that you're supposed to die the first time.
Luigi's not unique, it's yoshi re-skinned.

Then why isn't he eating things and lay eggs?

I don't even understand why this game exists and Paper Luigi DOESN'T.
I mean, God's sake, they already have the books written, make a damned game about Luigi's adventures in the Waffle Kingdom!
I'd buy it over this recycled nonsense!

It's called DLC for New Super Mario Bros U. If you don't like it, you don't need to buy it.
Recycled? What game were these levels taken from? If you can name another game that has DLC that consists of 82 new levels and 2 new playable characters, I'd be happy to oblige to the use of your recycle term.
P.S It's so different, it's the first DLC in history to be offered as a stand alone game too.

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon?
Also, using the phrase "If you don't like it, don't buy it" is really really stupid, because I kind of had to buy something and play/read/watch it before I can make a judgement on whether or not I like it.
And I feel it's recycled. New Super Luigi U just feels like New Super Mario Brothers U with Luigi as the main character. But remember, IT'S MY OPINION.

hah I sit corrected, or stand corrected.
But your opinion is flawed when you claim it's recycled, and that's my opinion . lol

Either way, It's disappointing to me.
Same as how the NSMB2 DLC was disappointing.
Nintendo think they need a hook to make DLC, they don't. What they need is to just give me the same game, with all new levels every year like Call of Duty or Battlefield or Ass Creed or Rockband or etc. in DLC form instead of as a new disc based game and I'd be perfectly happy.
€/$20 for a NSMBU-like game once a year for the 5 or 6 years of the console makes them a lot of money, and me a lot of fun gameplay.

I have to pay $60 just to buy this game in Australia.
Posted 23 June 2013 - 05:27 PM
I'm not sure it was worth $20, but it's fun so far and pretty challenging.

haven't messed with it yet as I'm still working with the main game....Excited about it though, and its less advertised playable character, as you might imagine based on my avatar =P

Why not? It's lucky they aren't expecting us to pay £40 for it considering it has the same amount of levels as New Super Mario U.
I get the feeling this is the Wii U equivalent of Super Mario: The Lost Levels.
