My brother would LOVE one. Should do a Yugioh style Eye of Judgement game.

It'd be good for fans of it. Using the screen as deck management but honestly I'd like a card game even if it's not Yu-Gi-Oh with new WiiU exclusive cards. These cards would have a chip on them to use the gamepad's NFC. it'd be great to get cards play them normally. Then use the NFC to bring said card to life on the big screen tv! it'd be great. Ps3 did a similar concept with "eye of judgement" which was great but was too easy to cheat as people printed off the best cards. But a chip would fix this.

I did not see this when I posted. HA great minds!

It'd be cool, but Koonami hasn't made a Yugioh game since 2011.

I like that idea, but idk if they will do it after the Duel Scanner failure. Maybe they can use characters from all the series, including Zexal, in it.My brother would LOVE one. Should do a Yugioh style Eye of Judgement game.

It had been a while. That's why I think they should make at least another WC with the Zexal characters. It'd be cool, but Koonami hasn't made a Yugioh game since 2011.

Id play it if the cards were layed down on the gamepad and the monsters appeared on the screen

I think they would have to do it that way in order to make a successful Yu-Gi-Oh Wii U game.

For Wii U, it would have to use NFC, and for 3DS, it would need to be an AR Game.
True. We'll see if Konami will be able to do either of those.

Hopefully a good Yu-Gi-Oh game, card packs could come with a single [random info useless] card that includes a chip that when tapped on the Wii U NFC spot it virtualizes a booster pack.
but the Gamepad to use your deck, and on the tv the monsters show in HD. Should also include Dice duels as a extra mode.

That would be cool, but idk if it would work after the Duel Scanner failure. I do like your idea of adding Dice monsters to the game though. I was thinking the duelist's hand would be shown on the GamePad screen and the rest, including the field, would be shown on the TV screen.

Yes, I was thinking of the hand + duel disk would be shown on the gamepad, we can swipe say down to show your hand, so both don't have to be shown at once. (less clutter)
I hope that NFC booster packs wouldn't be the only way to get cards though, don't want to start buying cards again really.
Now I think this game exist. ;=;

I was thinkkng of the GamePad screen being used just for the hand, but if fans like your idea, then maybe Konami should do it anyway. I also think that if the NFC booster pack idea you suggested works, then not only should that card be used for the game, I think it should alsk be ussd for real duels too. I think they should make that card tournament legal.

As great as having specialised cards for the Wii U's NFC sounds, there's just too many cards. It would probably cost more overall to produce it all, something I don't believe that they could remotely get back in sales. It's not Skylanders. Not even close.
Being able to use the Gamepad as a form of throwing down would be nice, but even nicer would be the addition of a trigger function, so you don't get prompted at every bloody phase and every single section of a phase if you want use that trap card.
Trophy Cards are classy too! LOLZIGZAGOON

True, a trigger effect would be useful in this game. The programmers would have to work in the criteria for each card in order for it to be activated without all those options. But my question is what if the player didn't want to activate that said trap?
