Looks like we will be getting some new announcements at Gamescom hopefully some really cool new franchises.

That is one of the dumbest things i have ever heard. If a product is good, why wouldn't you buy it? 

 

Unless Sony used slaves or something then I don't see any real reason to boycott them.

I think they mean the best as the most popular. But I'm gonna skip it as well because I'd rather have gamecube/wii/wii u games than another console that I probably won't play on.

Sounds good. I like Sony, but most of those I will probably not be interested in seeing as I am not even interested in Sony's exclusives now. I'll be sticking with Nintendo as usual. At least until the new Metal Gear and Gran Turismo comes out. And even then PS3 is going to have those.

Because you might not want to support the people behind the product, for example EA games.

I wasn't agreeing with VGCrasher, i was just making a point to Hunter, I don't mind Sony at all (besides their new pay monthly to play multiplayer thing).

Sony has repeatedly took shots at both Nintendo and Microsoft, they've make several attempts to copy Nintendo in which people even outside their own fanbase claimed were better(hell fighting game forums like Shoryuken and Eventhubs said PSABR was better than both Melee and Brawl), not to mention the vegetagery of most of Sony's fanbase.

 

Sony may not be as bad as EA but they certainly are no better in my opinion.

Sony has repeatedly took shots at both Nintendo and Microsoft, they've make several attempts to copy Nintendo in which people even outside their own fanbase claimed were better(hell fighting game forums like Shoryuken and Eventhubs said PSABR was better than both Melee and Brawl), not to mention the vegetagery of most of Sony's fanbase.

Yes, because one is a racer, one is a fighter, one is a 3d action game.

On playstation its all SHOOTERS SHOOTERS SHOOTERS.

This is entirely a marketing tactic. Remember Nintendo E3 2012? With the 30 "new" games shown? Yeah. Half of these will be games no one will really care about by this time next year.

I actually find Sony's exclusives to be very different and in some cases this generation of consoles defining moments such as Uncharted 2(action adventure), The Last of Us(survival horror), Killzone(shooter),Infamous(superhero game), Heavy Rain(point and click), God of War(hack and slash), etc. I find every single one of those games to be quality titles and some to be the greatest this gen and I'm not even touching the indie scene Sony build, so yes it's safe to assume that the PS4 will have great exclusives.

So if you boycott them because they "copy" other companies, surely there must be very few companies you support then? Companies "copy" other peoples' ideas and improve on them/adapt them constantly, that's business.
