Nintendo does good work, I'd want them to do it. I don't like that they rely on other studios...

Which Nintendo owned studio do you want to make the game though?

Backlash? I really don't think there would've been any backlash, considering most were expecting their game to be Star Fox.

Are you kidding me? There would be tons. Look at what happened at E3 2013. I wouldn't say most expected Star Fox. Most wanted a new Metroid. People said, and I do quote, "Retro talent would be wasted on Star Fox." Just look for an older post asking what project you want Retro to do. Metroid was the number one, then new IP.

My obvious choice would be Namco, but just because of the Ace Combat games.
Besides them, Treasure - like mentioned above -, Sega (all those Panzer Dragoon games and Space harriers). If you want to keep it more arcade-like. For something more serious, probably Konami, Platinum Games, Ubisoft.

Ubisoft would be an interesting choice. Lets make it happen Nintendo!

In a perfect world Treasure would develop the next starfox,

They'd be my number one pick since they've proven they can approach the shmup genre in unique ways

and Gunstar Heroes and sin&punishment are amazing games.

If not them then Sora ltd. since kid icarus uprising was really good.

Well, the Galaxy team did a very good job with Mario Galaxy. I'd guess they would make a vibrant, beautiful version of Star Fox.

Well, yeah Mario Galaxy was fantastic, beautiful, and very fun. But Star Fox is a very different game from a 3D platformer. It's an interesting thought, nonetheless.

 Give it to Hideki Kamiya.  Normally I'm against giving people things they ask for, hah.  I just feel if he wants it so bad he must have some good ideas bouncing around in his head.  And if his campaigning means we get Star Fox sooner the guy's a saint.

ECC is cool. Tony is cool too, I like the dude, despite his distaste for me, but the guy simply doesn't know when to call a ball a ball, same goes for his buddies. They can't admit Nintendo's faults and mistakes that they make.
