Nintendo released its most recent investor approval rating for the company's top Japanese brass. Satoru Iwata got an approval rating of 77.26 percent, making him the only exec this year to be under 90 percent! Last year, his approval rating was 90.60 percent. In the past, it's apparently been as high as 96 percent.

Well, I can't really comment on this but that's a significant drop.

Seeing this, I can't blame them, and I would have honestly expected it to be lower considering Iwata has promised things in the past that never came true, such as the fact that the Wii U specs will be able to compete (awaiting results :3), or that the launch lineup will help the console for a while.

I think that once Nintendo actually provides content for Wii U such as high quality known games such as SM3DWorld, Mario Kart 8, Legend of Zelda, Metroid and add extra "next-gen" things to Wii U, his approval rating will most likely go back up. But until then, it's going to stay low.

Better start sending letters to make 3rd party developers feel better.
It has nothing to do with 3rd party devs.
The stock holders aren't please with Iwata's job, that's why he's fallen.

Hope this teaches him the lesson that you can't just go around saying "I'll do this, I'll do that" not end up doing it and thinking an apology is enough.
