Hello

Sorry if this has been asked before but I just need some advice.  I am new to the Wii U having just bought one and loving it so far.  I read that you can play wii games on the wii u so decided to buy Super Mario Galaxy 2.  However I'm wondering will it work with the wii u gamepad?

If not what do I need to buy?  Will I need a wii mote and nunchuck and also a sensor bar?

Thanks all

Nope Nope Nope. You can't use the gamepad and only the wii remote and nunchuck. Sorry

Like Pikmin said, you have to have a Wiimote/Nunchuk to play the game. I think a sensor bar should've been included with the Wii U, though.

Yes you need a sensor bar. Think about it this way, It's a Wii disguised as a Wii U. So everything that is needed to play the Wii will be needed. Since the Wii isn't compatible with the gamepad, your gamepad is just off until you put the Wii U back on. So grab your wiimote, nunchuck and sensor bar and get busy!

It's a great game, by the way. You'll be glad you bought it, and the extras!

It's my favourite game definantely worth getting a wii mote and nunchuck and a sensor bar if you don't have one just for this game alone! Play the first one first.

Odd, my white Wii U came with a sensor bar. Did you check the entire box?

It depends where you buy it. In the US both the deluxe premium and basic models come with a sensor bar. In the EU/UK only the deluxe premium model does.
