"Two new trademarks appeared in Japan for the words “Fire Emblem” and “EMBLEM“. Both were filed on the same day on June the 24th, and were registered today, July the 18th.
The interesting part is that it should not be a simple renewal, as none of the previous trademarks were set to expire any time soon. At the bottom of the post you can see the result of the trademark search for both names (“ファイアーエムブレム” is Fire Emblem” in Katakana)
Both trademarks have been filed by Intelligent Systems, which is one of Nintendo’s first party studios and primary developer of the Fire Emblem series.
Of course we don’t know what the trademarks are for, at the moment, but we can certainly hope that they have been registered for a new game of the series.

what are your thoughts on this renewal? Pokemon Yellow was also renewed a couple years ago, so this also could mean nothing.
