Capcom announced a new Strider game during a Comic-Con panel this week. There was initially some confusion about the game coming to Wii U, as someone who was live-tweeting from the event said that it would indeed head to Nintendo’s console.

As it turns out, the official announcement confirmed that a Wii U version isn’t in the works. But that doesn’t mean Strider has been completely ruled out for the system. The same person who live-tweeted from Capcom’s presentation caught up with developer Double Helix following the panel and was told that the game could be ported over “if there’s a demand for it.”

For now, if you’re interested in the new Strider, you’ll need to settle for another platform – PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, or PC.

 

If this does come to the Wii U, i would buy it in a heartbeat just to show my support for Capcom games on the Wii U.

This is where everyone becomes indecisive with the Capcom & Double Helix trolling in attempt to get more 3rd party support on the Wii U.

 

I'd rather buy it on my Wii U, although I'm going to buy it regardless of what console it is on.

Here we go again with this demand BS. it's like they're holding us a bone and want us to bark loudly before they insultingly toss it at us. It's already sad enough that the game is coming out on all dedicated gaming platforms except for the Wii U.

It's being developed by Double Helix so I don't expect this game to remotely good anyway. But still, you do have a point.

If they're saying any of this, they should realise there is at least some kind of demand.

Demand is made when you announce a game for any platform.

Moral of the story: Making games for a console creates the demand you strive for. Something developers never seem to realise...

Totally. Mega Man Legends 3 was proof of this. They get the fans involved and then say that there was no demand.

Nope keep your damn game my hard earned money will go to developers creating for the console on day1. These publishers and developers can go fu€% themselves.
