Iwata needs to go. We need someone who isn't afraid to put out some money so that they can bring in 3rd party support. Like GAMER said we need someone that can relate to the Western market and fight for support.
Someone New or Satoru Iwata?

Yeah lets throw more money at someone else. Watch the stock go down!

I think viewing his sales he's done a good job and the quality of their exclusives are great but I do feel they need new blood in particular someone who understands the west more. Promoting, games, etc. similar to how Sony does it, I think Nintendo needs to grab a page from them.

You want to know a reason why 3rd parties still hate nintendo? This guy right here.
"If we reduce the number of employees for better short-term financial results, employee morale will decrease, and I sincerely doubt employees who fear that they may be laid off will be able to develop software titles that could impress people around the world."
- Nintendo president Satoru Iwata explains his company's philosophy on staff layoffs.
Iwata shouldnt go anywhere,
Agreed. Iwata scored a LOT of brownie points when he said that. I think Iwata knows what he's doing, and stuff like this makes me love what he does. I do think he should bring in some fresh blood, particularly western. He needs to understand more of what's going on outside Japan. Also, try to kick Miyamoto out a little. The whole of Nintendo need to know what to do when he's gone.

He should just step down instead of getting fired, he's one of the developers who made amazing games, but he's a horrible president, I really want someone new, someone that understands Nintendo's situation and knew Nintendo since forever. Someone that can actually bring casual and hard core since he didn't prove that he'll do.

Overall I like Iwata. I'd like him to stay, but he, and Nintendo as a whole, need to at least look at what the competition is doing and what western gamers want. He seems to be making steps in the right direction, like getting more involved with NOA to see things in the west, making more partnerships with third party companies, Other times though they feel oblivious or just far behind other companies. When your competitor announces they have a much more powerful, much better 3rd party and indie support, and it's only $50-$100 more, you really do need to react to that with a price drop. The poll we had here on thewiiu.com said that PS4 would win the next console war. That's kind of a problem. Hopefully they rectify their sales problem in the next 6 months and advertise like crazy.
