No, because SEGA were already heavily in debt but Nintendo are still making a profit.
People made these same claims with the Gamecube but again Nintendo made a profit.
I don't understand why the fact its not selling "right now" is considered a problem? As mentioned above, games sell consoles and Nintendo are still lagging on that. There is no reason to think that sales won't drastically change once the games are there. Its not ideal sitting a lot of unsold stock, but its not the end of the world either so long as you are sustaining the company in the meantime.
Do I feel ripped off by my Wii U? Yes. But that is mostly down to the poor OS software, the fact I bought the 32GB model only to find out I still need an external USB stick/HDD to get decent download speeds. I didn't expect to have a huge games collection for Wii U, it was always for exclusives and upscaling my Wii games collection so it looked slightly less crap on my HDTV.
