No. No it would not be interesting, it would be bad. DLC just doesnt work for metroid.
Metroid is not the kind of game you can simply add dlc too. Its directly opposed to metroidvania game design. Metroidvania style games are constructed like a series of complex clock works, every single piece must be perfectly in place. You cant just start throwing peices on top of it.
There is already a metroid that allows switching from third to first person.

I think Nintendo have shown us how they see DLC with NSMB2 and NSMBU.
They're not going to make DLC of a new weapon to unbalance the game, they'll make DLC to continue the story or add extra playtime to the game.

Nintendo have said the same thing before and announced games like NSLU and Pokemon X/Y.
Umm...wasn't pokemon X/Y announced in a special pokemon direct at like 6 am in the morning? Because I remember waking up, watching the direct, and being so happy.
