In the demo if you pressed the ZL button you formed into a dome shaped shield, but in the full game when i press ZL nothing happens so i am always getting killed when fighting the tanks, i have looked about online but cannot find anyone else reporting this, anyone help with this please ?

It's a power-up you get from the shop: Unite Guts. You gotta buy it with those wonder-credits or whatever they're called.
