What year Mac have you got? I have the 2009 one but replaced disc drive with SSD and put in 16GB RAM.
the 27" with the Nvidia 660m. it should be identical to the stock one listed on Apple's website.
It's for my mother, who soon won't be having easy access to me for tech support.
the fact that it can play 28 of my Steam games as-is is a perk, but problably the only way I'd be using it.
Agreed. used and supported both for many years.
Macs are the way to go.
And if you want Windows for games, just load up Windows in Parallels or boot Camp. Still need antivirus, etc. for the windows os though.
Our last mac was a 2006 Core Duo. It hasn't been supported since Snow Leopard, so it ahs been running Windows 8.
Macs ARE PCs. Just high end versions.
In other words... better.
As a completed package, yes. until you want to add another hard drive or, god forbid, an OPTICAL DRIVE.
