Only the special edition one with the figurine is sold out.
Really? You would think the system would sell out a lot more quickly than the figurine one.

importing shouldn't be an issue by the way, the eShop exists.

Do u have the job? Because you mentioned interviews. If so how long will you be spending in Japan, plus why would you want to stay in and play consoles when exploring Japan would be more fun

I'm also a big fan of the Nintendo the oldest console is the nes and I follow the development until now yes they make little mistake now and then but they always find the way to fix it, if you really want the special edition with the wind maker go for it and enjoy it and I'm sure you enjoy also the Eshop from Nintendo, because you download the classic of Nintendo. So I will say go for it if you want it, it entirely you decision.
