...That includes Clannad, sadly.
I did tear up quite a bit, but I didn't actually cry.

I guess I'm a little sensitive (Cried about 3-4 times during the anime. Well having a few tears, not going into a corner, going in a fetal position and crying for hours. Like some people said they did o.O)

Well, I still haven't watched the Clannad movie, but I'll do that when I'll have slightly forgotten about the show. (Which will take a long time to happen...)

Seems to me like this is now a Clannad thread... I haven't watched it, but it can't possibly be worse than School Days. Maybe I'll watch it, but the only thing keeping me away is the animation style and the uguu.

Anyway, Clannad, despite it's appearance, is NOT a Moe-blob fest, like some people think. (The argument on whether Moe-ness is a factor in Anime quality, or if it's even measurable is a different topic entirely . Personally, I think it's subjective.)
The characters have more depth than most Animes, and the emotions they bring out are far from forced. Also, the Animation is top notch, and come After Story, I don't recall any moments where it really sank below modern standards. It almost feels like a modern Cardcaptors in terms of Quality, IMO.
