A question for people who have played the game (HD or original):

Is the game fairly easy? A friend of mine said it is the easiest Zelda they have played and I'm just wondering if I should go ahead with Hero Mode from the beginning? I was thinking about it anyway but if it is quite an easy game then I will definitely go with Hero Mode.

Zeldas have been painfully easy since they went 3d. Wind wakers 3d camera control and refined mechanics removed the last vestiges of artificial difficulty via primitive mechanics oot and mm had.

So yeah, its pretty easy, tied with tp, and oot3d as easiest zeldas.

Go ahead and start on hero mode.

I have about 11 hours into WW so far, and the game definitely has some performance issues, but like 3Dude said, they typically dont make sense. I was cruising behind the Teachers island, and when I got really close while sailing on the back side, the game really began to stutter with some pretty bad slowdown. Its almost all been while at sea, I have had some stutters here and there, again it doesnt seem to line up with what you would expect to be really taxing to the hardware or anything, but its almost always smooth when on dry land. The performance is just inconsistent at sea. You may have 12 enemies on screen coming at you with no issue, and then you have one boat firing a bomb that induces some slowdown and framerate drops. The game is far from broken, its still smooth 99% of the time, but its annoying that an upgraded Gamecube game doesnt runn 100% smooth all the time. I would like to see a patch clean this up, the game is near perfection, but I kinda doubt that Nintendo will bother.
