Hallo.

So i have heard about the new update for Wii U, that allow off tv play for Wii games.

Will it also allow games to be played with the gamepad as a controller?

No. You still need a Wiimote/Nunchuck, or Classic Classic Controller.

To bad, it seems simple to allow the gamepad or pro controller as a Wii classic controller.

Not as simple as it seems, they use different commo tech/protocols, wiimotes=Bluetooth, gamepad= Newly licensed proprietary technology.

someone will mention that they press a button or touch the touch screen and a message pops up.
this is just a notification, it doesn't detect which button or the position on the touch screen, it just lets you know it can't interpret the upad controls as wii mote controls.

Yes, and the Wii U doesn't even know that's happening, it's all on the GamePad side.

It's like when you click the TV button on the GamePad, the Wii U has no idea what you're doing and the GamePad just displays the message over whatever the Wii U is sending it.

Y U READ THIS?...WHY IS THERE TEXT HERE? LOL WTF
