So, I just watched the entirety of the eshops Indiecade push... And Im pretty excited. Indie games are often rather esoteric, so they can be hit or miss depending on an individuals unique wants and needs, as will undoubtedly be the case here. So I tnink I will start a thread where we can talk about these titles that are coming to the wii, and also, how well the trailers worked at raising our interest in the games, a rather hard task that is often underestimated.

Armillo

Game looks good, functional, solid, interesting varied mechanics, Looks like a good skill based game.... But not something that personally excites me. Has my interest, but i would need to see more.

Knytt underground

Not sure whatbthe age restriction is for, the game may have 'stuff' in it, but the trailer doesnt. Solid game play mechanics, npc's and stories, quests, and interesting powers and design, and a nice art style. Trailer has me interested.

Looks fun. Again, rock solid game mechanics. Mechanically, this kind of stuff is right up my alley. Trailer does good job showing off the game play mechanic wise, but leaves me unsure of the game progression wise, so far, all three trailers leave me feeling like this. Its something thats very hard to convey in trailers, and just as hard in demos, which is really tough, because that aspect of game design can be make or break for many people. Has me interested

Very obviously paying homage to portal. It looks good too. Even if portal hadnt broken the.... Does that wall even have a number? I would have still enjoyed it as a first person puzzle game. The trailer does a good job showing off its solid mechanics, as well as showing off there may be more to this puzzler than meets the eye. This has me excited to buy.

SHUTUP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!! Honestly, I dont think this is a very good trailer for those who dont already know what this is. I think it woud certainly garner interest, but would leave annoying questions like 'so... is there combat or...?) (yes, there is turn based jrpg combat). Excited to buy. Not necessarily because of the trailer though.

Well, I like the look, love the room transitions, and exploring the game world has me interested as its sort of hitting my ico nerve, but it shows nothing but walking left to right, as what other things it shows, I dont have the context to really understand. Still interested.

Dear God... I know exactly what ill be getting into with this thanks to this trailer. I must prepare my body for this. I have the itch for this kind of game, but its something i have to be in the mood for, more than something i overtly crave. Interested.

The premise to this game made ma laugh. The trailer showcases very involved character creation and 2d combat with a grand variety, which is interesting, but also gives off the impression the entirety of the game takes place with the same background, which is a deal breaker for me.

Rock solid shmup/rail platforming. Tight and rock solid. Thats all the trailer shows. Rock solid shmup/rail platforming gameplay. Not my kind of bag though.

Shovel knight

Rock solid classic capcom-esque 2d action adventure gameplay. Trailer shows tight controls, awesome bosses, secrets, and exploring to find cool stuff in chests. Im excited to buy.

Trailer shows great artstyle, tight gameplay, with interesting mechanics, and wonderful setpeice imagry. But wondering how much more there is than dungeon crawling. Definately interested.

While the Wii U has been struggling in many places, it's indie support has not. I'm excited for Q.U.B.E., Knytt Underground, Shovel Knight, and Wooden Sen Sey out of these, which adds to the already large amount of eshop games that I want (Trine 2, Nano Assault, Toki Tori, etc.)
