Idk bout you guys but I'm digging my ps4 and my cousin bought an X1 and I liked what I played Forza,killer instinct and that zoo game(idk the name lol) were real fun. So yeah the future for games is really good and I can't wait to really see these machines shine.

Zoo Tycoon and yeah it looks great. I shall be trying it myself tomorrow. I was amazed by how many Zombies were onscreen in Dead Rising 3 as well. Not a single bit of slow down either.

ummmm i think not (well going by the 3hr vid i watched last night) the ps4 is faster than the xbone and MUCH simpler ui,xbone actually seemed quite complicated not to mention cluttered

Uh... No. I've got both and x1 is much faster. And easier to understand what you are doing. IMO, it's more attractive as well, minus the abundance of the color green...

Actually ps4 kill zone doesn't impress me much.

Forza on x1is great as all forza games are. But.. It doesn't seem like a crazy leap over 360.

Interestingly, a game with a genre I don't care much about is the game I'm playing most -Mario 3d world.

It's also the game my sister and nieces are amazed by. Lol.

But seriously, the ps4 and x1 UI performance and design only serve to highlight how atrocious the wii u os art direction and performance is.

It's like.. A completely different dimension. And if it weren't for great wii u games like Pikmin and Mario,mine could be forgiven for thinking the x1and ps4 were further ahead than they really are - just based on os impressions and multimedia features.

You can set a different colour though can't you.

Yes you can. I haven't messed with options too much. Just setting up a couple of each console for presents. Wii u, x1, ps4, all require updates and accounts, so I'm setting those things up. It's a lot of "work."

Curious as to what color most people choose.

I don't mind green on mine, But I'm thinking red for Christmas or blue may look good. Though I'm mostly a monochrome guy.though I'll leave the gifts stock. Its a great option.

I got one today with 3 games and so far it's worth 7/10 to me.

 

The controller is fantastic, easily better than the 360 pad. It's just way more comfortable and feels more responsive in every aspect. The sticks are a huge improvement with much more precision, very little deadzone and require no effort to move. The tiggers have a softer kind of feel when pulled and the feedback through rumble adds to the experience. The bumpers are not as bad as most say. I find they are more comfortable resting your fingers on and responsive when you learn the sweet spot. Dpad is better but feels a little cheap, still crap compared to Nintendo controllers.

 

This is my first time ever using Kinect and the voice control is ok. I couldn't believe when I saw that even Kinect has a fan on the back LOL. A fan for a camera? This thing gets hot and should of came with a better solution to stick ontop of the TV more securely. I keep thinking it's going to fall. A silly design I think.

 

I hate how long it takes for the discs to install (Wii U discs still better quality with their curved edges) but one good thing is being able to play the game during partial install. Graphics are pretty good. 1080p Forza looks and sounds great even Battlefield 4 which looks better than 720p to me. If all Xbone got was native 720p games that look much better with higher framerates than 360 I will be content.

 

So not a huge fan of Kinect as expected but since every Bone has one maybe developers will make something worthwhile with it in future. Kinect and the controllers rumble triggers have potential to offer gameplay experiences PS4 can't and overall enjoying it. Did I mention how good the controller is?

The Kinect wasn't designed to be set on top of an HD TV plus there are special third party TV clips you can buy if you want to set it on top of your TV.
