(CNN) - He used to be a big supporter of the Affordable Care Act, but Mike Tyson now says Obamacare's suffered a knockout.

"It just really went horrible," the former heavyweight boxing champion of the world told CNN's Piers Morgan in an interview that aired Wednesday evening on "Piers Morgan Live."

"It's really, it's really bad," Tyson added.

The comments appear to be a change of opinion for Tyson, who in an 2012 interview with Morgan applauded President Barack Obama's efforts on health care, adding that the President and Vice President Joe Biden "give the people in that desperational need, that hope."

The start up of Obamacare over the past two months has been extremely flawed, with major problems plaguing HealthCare.gov, the system's main website for people to sign up for coverage, and with a controversy over insurance policy cancellations due primarily to the new national health law.

Tyson says he still believes in giving health care coverage to the millions of Americans currently without insurance, but added that "as of now it doesn't seem they can get it. I was for it a 100 percent but we just have to come to the reality that it didn't work."

CNN Political Editor Paul Steinhauser contributed to th

Even though its coming from Mike Tyson, I would agree with him.

Stupid Americans, expecting things to happen immediately.
Switching from a rip-off rich get the best style healthcare system to a fair, health for everyone policy will take some time, probably 2 or 3 years.

I question why CNN is interviewing a former boxing champ on the merits of Obama care... Was it just so they could have the nifty 'knockout' headline? I mean, you might as well ask Will Smith, or Jim Carey, your math teacher, Dolly Parton (useless fact: she also has a doctorate of humane letters like Tyson... Not to be confused with an actual degree) or me, or anyone else who doesnt have an education or experience in areas pertaining to the subject at hand... Anyone can form an opinion on whether they like, or dislike Obama care... Not everyone can back it up with years of education and experience... Why not interview a professor of social economics or something?

Americans don't seem to understand our own system is the reason why the government's computers and websites for the people suck and the military's technology seems to run so flawlessly. You can pretty much blame Bill Gates and friends when everyone else hires real computer engineers and programers.

A failure of a website doesn't mean healthcare is going to fail.

Wow, do people really think the military's technology seems to run so flawlessly?

That makes me chuckle. I remember many a smoke break complaining about the exact opposite. I suppose the grass is always greener on the other side XD.

Sometimes flawlessly in comparison, that was a bit of a generalization. I'm sure a lot of their stuff is from the Bill Gates program.

But I'm more so talking about the computers NASA builds and the new linux submarine they tested several times.

I hate to discuss politics, but there is something actually flawed with obamacare.

That healthcare is not pulled out of nowhere, sonny. Who pays for it? Us. The people in this country.

We do not get a choice to pay or have it, we just HAVE to own healthcare, even if we can't afford it-

But if we can't afford it, we don't have to pay.

"Oh" everyone goes- "I can just do nothing, live in a rainbowty house with nothing, and let everyone else pay for my things!"

That may sound good to some of you, but in reality the taxes for healthcare- or obamacare -will get higher and higher as less people decide to be lazy.

Eventually, everyone will be poor, and there will be no taxpayers for the bloody healthcare.

You can't just print more money- it'll have less value, inflation and such.

Just thought i should post this.

EDIT: This isn't going to help with the debt, either

Just saying, we've had the system in Canada for the longest time. No one complains about paying, because everyone realizes having anyone be able to get medical attention when they need it is worth it 100x over. We have way less debt than you do in america, and we came out of the recession way better than most countries.

The only time I've heard people complain about the subject is when they're talking about how stupid it is america doesn't have it.
