I liked SS but I didn't find the game to be anywhere near the best Zelda. I found the game didn't feel it had diversity and the back and fourth stuff was fun but I would have liked to be able to explore more areas. Also skyloft felt like there was a ton of potential but it fell short. I found the presentation of the game great tho and I hope they make it more cinematic also the little rpg stuff implemented was real cool although it was under used I felt that they should have gone deeper(hopefully wiiu Zelda). The controls were perfect the dungeons were fantastic and the bosses for the most part were great. At the end of the day tho the story being told here is epic but with a very small world around it and that really bugged me.
Yeah, the game was definately being constrained by team size and development issues... It was the largest zelda team ever and you could tell the game was just more ambitious than the team could handle.
It caused some flaws, that are often blown out of proportion, but it also brought to light amazing advancements that I can only hope arent lost to time.
If the motion controls from skyward sword and all the possibilities they opened are ditched instead of evolved, it will be a great, great loss.
I also recommend upgrading the bug net as soon as possible, to make bug catching much easier. Lastly, once you get the bow, fully upgrade it immediately. That thing does crazy damage when fully upgraded.
I upgraded the bug net once and instantly regretted it. Oh it makes catching bugs a snap, but wierd as it is, I actually really, really enjoyed finangling that tiny net too scoop up the bugs.
