"Wii U is pretty much in-between – it’s neither of them, not current-gen, maybe closer to current-gen than next-gen.”

Take this to mean whatever you want.

Here is the full quote. "I would say the Wii U version is pretty much in between what the current gen is and what the next gen is from a version standpoint. It's hard to position it. I would tend to say it's maybe a bit closer to current gen than next gen for certain things but it's a beautiful game on Wii U and it's cool to play it just on the GamePad." I am glad you didn't edit that line the way most have. Here is the link to the full article for anyone who wants to see it.http://www.computera...s-to-gtas-turf/ .

It's all about how the developer optimize the game for the Wii U...

Also remember that Watch Dogs is a "last gen" game, really nothing next gen about it. If Ubi can make a decent port, then we'll get above ps360 standards but not the VERY little touches of what is called "next gen" which is insignificant.

Actually it is all of the above. The XBOX 360 and PS3 versions were made separate from the other versions. http://www.gamercent...nt-started-yet/

thanks for posting this... i know it will get overlooked by most Wii U underpowered crowd but.....

You are welcome. The Wii U isn't the only one developers ran into issues with. Some developers have run into issues with the PS4 and XBOX ONE as well. If, they spent the same time, effort and money making Wii U games would run tremendously better.

I'll keep at it. The truth is an uncontrollable force and it will eventually come out.

I think a year from now the Wii U will hit it's stride. I think it will have decent third party support. Less people will be down on what the perceived specs of the Wii U mean once they see more of what it's capable of. Although third party support isn't very hot right now it's still a victory having games like Darkstalkers II, the last two Batman's, the last two Assassins Creed, Call Of Duty with most of the bells and whistles and the upcoming Watchdogs. That never would have happened on the Wii. One factor over looked by many concerning third party sales is one big factor. Last gen was primarily a two console household a Wii and XBOX 360 or a Wii and PS3. So with many multiplatform games people elect to pay just $60 instead of $360. That coupled with the perception the Wii U version games will be lacking and also remembering Wii versions lacking. I am curious to see how well cross gen PS4 and XBOX ONE games sell after the holidays.
