Oh, I wanted to see ASIMO do its Gerald Ford impression.

Funny thing about the power glove... The nes was actually the problem. It was far too primitive to use a device like the power glove. I ended up using a hacked power glove with rend 386, it was actually quite impressive. Actually considerably better than the wii remote in spatial positioning.

I know the N-gage sales weren't good but I know the N-gage series was technical advanced then the mobile counterparts in those days.

What about the Wii Speak? Even Nintendo declared it as a failure.

What about the Wii Speak? Even Nintendo declared it as a failure.

It was a low budget experiment. It didn't cost much to try out, and they were bundled with Animal Crossing so Nintendo didn't have too much overstock

The funny thing  is though, with all these failures came success later down the road.  There has to be failures to have success.

The internet appliance in 200-2001.

I had one of these

w6rjeSC.jpg

Variations on these things from different brands but this was the one I had. No not a camera on top but a mic.

It used MSN internet service (they also used t on webtv i think) This was when te internet was still a luxury and not common place. Laptops were super expensive and this was a cheap 200$ way to ridge the cap for people..or so that was the idea. The service was 21$ a month and used dial up. It often had trouble had to call tech support and yes very very slow.  I had this thing for maybe 6 months. Was a massive POS. Not surprisingly these things failed to catch on.
