While I'm happy to see the mention of "Wii U", considering the last two Nintendo Directs were all about the 3DS, I'm still not getting hyped.

 

While we may all want to get excited thinking about Super Smash Bros., Mario Kart, and possibly further, we have to remember that this is only for up to Spring 2014 titles. Mario Kart 8 may be shown (assuming it is still a Spring 2014 title), but probably not so much SSB4.

 

I'm expecting a mostly 3DS focused ND, with Donkey Kong tacked on. Probably advertising Cranky Kong yet again.

 

But if Nintendo wants to create hype, they have to do more than they said they will in the Direct.

I'm definitely expecting footage of DKC:TF and MK8 for the Wii U, and anything more will be a surprise.  I'll take a surprise or two though, lol.

 

As far as the 3DS goes, I'm sure we'll get some footage of the Kirby game.  I'm always excited about the Directs either way, even though we usually end up griping more than praising. Haha

Nothing wrong with talking about DK in this setting.
Don't know why you're all making it into a rainbowty meme that everything DK is rainbow, it's got a place with people who care about DK.

I think this can be a realy good one for Wii U.

The only games confirmed for Winter and Spring are DK and Mario Kart. Two games!

 

No dates on:

Yoshi

FE SMT

Smash

Zelda U

 

These are games coming out in 2014 and it with no release dates.

More, isn`t it strange no Mario spinoff has been announced for Wii U?

Zelda u has no release window as far as I know, in fact I assumed windwaker HD meant we wouldn't see it til 2015. Yoshi and SMTXFIREEMBLEM don't have a date either.

I assumed it would be 2015 too, but Nintendo need a big game soon. Yes they have Mario Kart and Smash Bros. but they need something more for next christmas imo. 

 

I'm hoping it's late 2014/early 2015 release, but then this is Nintendo so it will probably be later rather than sooner.
