Yeah I'm surprised how many places just have the ZombieU bundle (like Costco), considering that game doesn't really interest most Nintendo buyers. I'm not going to get that game no matter how much they discount it. It shouldn't have been made into a bundle.
How much do you think the Wii U will sell the whole month of Dec.

i should be a very good number for Nintendo.... but what will happen in January. even if the numbers are high i wont get to excited because the haters will be eyeing those January numbers just to say look it cant do it for two months straight.

The numbers are good, but far from a success. The console continues to sell bellow expectations and competition, and Europe continues to be the disastrous Sony Land for Nintendo.
No reason to be excited really. It's only pumping out slightly better Dreamcast numbers here.

ZombieLand bundle sold out both in Hayward and Fremont CA ToysRuS before Dec 25th. Actually all stores have been out of Wii U's for major retailers in the East Bay for a few days now. Only a few GameStops seem to have some bundles left. Target, TRU, BB, and Walmarts have been sold out for a few days here.

Very, very possible especially considering how much they are currently selling at the moment in Japan and EU!!!

- So if the system sells 500K America's 350-400K Japan and 200K EU that wouldn't be a success?
- True but the Vita still is "far" from success everywhere else...especially Japan where the sales are disasterous for a country that is fixated on handhelds!!!
- There is a lot of reason to be excited the Wii U is selling well and better software is coming out: MK8, SuperSmashBros, Bayo 2, DK:TF, X, LoZ etc by March 2015 the Wii U will have a total LTD of 22 mil. You can quote me on that!!!

Haters gonna hate regardless of outcome. Whether the Wii U sells 200K or 1 mil they will hate. Then there are media haters like Patcher is just hating to get clicks to stay significant. He lives on Nintendo fanboy rage....why else would he down the Wii U and stay quite over the flop that is the Vita? Think about it!!!

If nintendo offers more bundles with more games i suppose it will sell well even if nintendo didn't i would estimate about 19-23 m Wii U consoles sold

19 mil by March2015 would be on the low side seeing the quality software Wii U has in store for 2014. It is very possible that they reach 22-23mil by that date; but it might be wise for Iwata to expect 19-20mil for that fiscal year in order to exceed expectations! It's all about playing the game of numbers. I wouldn't be surprised if Iwata and Co. sets a low goal for the next fiscal year (19-20mil units LTD) while really expecting a higher gross of hardware sold (22-23mil).

Yes haters will hate regardless. All i am saying is i dont get into it all. Most times then not nintendo still finds a way to be on the laughing side of things. I mean after selling 100 miliion Wii's people dont remember it for being a great gaming console experience. Most just say it was a gimmick console withoutdate graphics and network features that people will forget. Wii wont be in most peoples top 5 console of all time despite selling VERY well.

I also thought so as well in early Dec. with my prediction of 800K units WW sold. But seeing how feverishly the Wii U has been selling in places like TRU, Target, BB, Walmart, and even ebay I think 1 mil isn't beyond the realm of possibility this time. A very good number which I expect to go down(like any hardware after Christmas holiday) to 500K WW for the month of Jan2014. I fully expect it to have healthy sales from this point on!!!

600K-700K is solid healthy
750K-850K very good
900K-1.0M the Wii U just got a second chance at life!!!
Jan2014 and Feb2014 will be solid but Dec is just looking like the month for US Nintendo fans to celebrate.
My WW predictions:
Dec2013: 850K-1.0M
Jan2014: 500K
Feb2014: 450K
March 2014: 400K
April 2014: 800K-1.0M (if Mario Kart 8 gets released during this time)

that would be too good to be true.... at this point and what has happen. Seriously if nintendo has a 3ds like turn around for Wii U it would be one the biggest success stories in my lifetime so far. I lived through the gamecube era and it pales in comparison to what the Wii U has gone through so far... I have never seen so many negative articles and attitudes towards a product before. If Nintendo can turn this ship around it would make me very happy as a fan of theirs.

The negative articles is because of us Nintendo fans. People like Patcher, IGN, GamesIndustryBiz need clicks to stay relevant and Nintendo fans love to rage on those sites to defend them. It also gives anti-Nintendo fanboys a lot of glee to see their most dangerous rival stagger a bit. They would love nothing more than play the well crafted games that Nintendo makes on their boring system. Honestly, the Wii U is a lot more next-gen than the PS4 if you consider other things besides raw power!!! I love Wii U's Video Chat, TVii, ability to play Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon Prime videos, free absolutely free online multi-player, TRUE BACKWARD COMPATIBILITY THAT INCLUDES BOTH SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE!!! IF that isn't next-gen I don't know what is? It's partially Nintendo's fault for not clarifiying the Wii U (stupid name too) but I guess we will see a 3DS turn-around because the system is just that good. Wii U is going to surpass the Vita in sales in half the time and Sony fanboys haven't given up on that!!! So the next time you see a negative article just ignore it and it will eventually go away. This mentallity scares the rainbow out of people like dumbass idiotic Patcher!!! I wonder if people start ignoring his post if he would still have I job? He really is the Uwe Boll of gaming!
Why are those number too good to be true? If the Wii U is able to sell 800K-1.0 mil, a 500K monthly sales for Jan-Feb isn't far from the sense of reality!!

Well i was actually one of the ones ok with the name. If they did deliver on the "U" in the name. A console for "U" whatever you are as a gamer we have a console for "U". I think the problems was the console design. It "LOOKS" so similar to the original Wii that people can easily make the mistake of it bwing an original Wii with a gamepad accessory. Now if they designed the console with some different looking designed something that stands out so there is no WAY people could mistake it for an original Wii. Also i am not a fan of the backwards compalibility AT ALL. i havent played not ONE Wii game since i got my Wii U. if they would have droped it they coud have easily made a console more powerful and x86 architecture for probably cheaper. I mean i dont give developers a reason to leave you out for 3rd party games.

The CPU doesn't matter as much as the GPU; which if you listen to reason all point to the Evergreen GPU. While not as powerful as the 7xxx series of GPU found on the PS4/X1 is still better than those found on the PS360. Besides the Wii U's CPU, as far as I know isn't that bad. Especially if one considers it's cache, OOE, and embedded memory!!! Also, there is nothing the PS4/X1 showed at launch that was mind blowing!!! They failed to convince me that Wii U and PS360 (I have a 360 love it!!!) is truely obsolete or dated!!!
Oh the picture is to show that the games still look quite similar between each other. The next-gen jump isn't really there for me yet for the PS4/X1!!!

I dont think there is anything wrong with the level of power Wii U has but why make it so different to use. Wii U is stuck in this weird power/architecture in betweenness of 7th and 8th gen and it kinda sucks. Like i just wish it was easier for Devs to make use of the power available from Wii U... i know it comes down to code but it is sad we have multiplat games from a 2005 xbox running better than a 2012 WiiU.... and Iwata has the nerve to say he doesnt understand why people think the Wii U is underpowered. I just cant wait to see until someone takes advantage of what the console can do and bring us something really amazing from GAMEPLAY AND GRAPHICS.... yes it is possible to have both.

I am sorry, I cannot help but cringe every time I read your posts. The tone of almost every post you type starts off fairly positive then spirals down into a deep dark hole. Are you serious about what you just typed?
2005 xbox multiplat game running better than a 2012 Wii U
Why are you blaming the Wii U? Obviously you realize a game coded for one system when simply shoved onto another system isn't going to run nearly as smooth. I know you KNOW this but can't understand why you keep posting the garbage.
Second, this weird power architecture you speak of is very over blown as well. All current systems Xbone, PS4 and Wii U rely more upon the GPU and are setup for that. and I know you KNOW this, so why are you posting this?
wish it was easier for Devs to make use of the power available from Wii U..
What? Beating a dead horse when bringing up such an example as Need For Speed Most Wanted U. Interviews with devs clearly tell a story that they only spent a couple of months working on the port and they made it into the definitive console version on the Wii U.. so your statement is clearly false.
Stop blaming the Wii U for everything.

Well first feel free to whenever you see my username skip my post and read the next one we all will survive believe me. the post has a reference. Nintendo had 7 years to look at the HD market and see what was going on. Look at the games how they looked and i am sure they had talks with(i hope) developers to see where games were going. So it would have been fine if Iwata didnt say anything. But Nintendo built this console and no one else. They had years to look at game engines, and how HD gaming works. In all of this he comes out and says he doesnt understand why people think the Wii U is underpowered. Really its an opinion its mine you may think differently good for you. I have noticed that Wii U is indeed becoming more popular even here in the middle east, my cousin in Saudi Arabia told me that his neighbors got a Wii U and he also told me that there is a lot of people buying Nintendo games .
i believe if Nintendo increases advertisement here in middle east and Africa it gonna sell pretty well but for now the numbers are good and hope fully by the end of 2014 Wii U will get all the 3rd party support
