I cannot wait to be able to afford one of these. The biggest flaw of the gamepad is the battery life in my opinion.

Is it going to provide me with more juice than my Uboost
Not sure what the mah rating is on the Uboost, probably similar. This particular battery is internal, Uboost is an add-on so it could deliver another couple hours. Supposedly the 2550 mah high capacity battery will deliver about 8 hours, along with a little extra weight.
Ordered mine. Should arrive next week.

I played for five hours straight and it didn't even lose one bar in the indicator. Assuming a equal distribution (most likely) the battery will last 20 hours no problem.

I already have the Nyko Power pak an some days it works great and other days it dies in less then an hour. I will be getting this battery once it's available in the US.
Probably because the Wii U gamepad is constantly in a kind of sleep mode, waiting for the Wii U to get turned on. It turns on by itself even if you turned the Wii U on with another controller. If you leave it without charging it for too long it will lose a bit of charge.

I'll probably pass on buying this. It's not like a handheld where I can charge it at anytime, and I don't take it out of the room where the Wii U itself is. I just leave the controller charging while I play.
