In 5 hours, a library to facilitate something to do with the Wii U gamepad (DRC) will be released after the 30c3 convention.
This excites me, as while the Wii U's use of the gamepad is pretty good, opening that up to my PC would be much better.
Even more will be possible, right from your toilet seat!

Using the Wii U gamepad for the PC would be great! Lots of games could use it, especially point and click games like Monkey Island. Can't wait to see how this turns out.

As long as it the lib file does not contain somesort of copywriten code it should be perfectly legal. Since the use of the original Wii mod in the modding/maker community was fairly big with no legal blowback I do not thing you will see any here.
And thanks Nollog I forgot the CCC was happening! I wander what other fun stuff they might bring us this year!
Now if only I knew German lol

Happens with all controllers.
The wii u gamepad is very different tho. It would be nice to see what they make of it.
Streaming to the gamepad would be cool and using the touch screen as a monitor would be great also.
It will be nice to see what they turn up.

I saw demos like using the gamepad's webcam, drawing on the gamepad, and playing windwaker from a gamecube emulator, displaying completely on the gamepad with a fair amount of video issues.
ultimately, it's just a proof of concept thing right now, a library for people wanting to use the gamepad.
