I follow the animated DC movies as they are usually pretty good, better than marvel at least.

I don't understand, though.  War is supposed to take place right after Flashpoint Paradox, so why would GL not know batman?  The parademons showed up at the end of flashpoint, so...

I know the movie is trying to adapt the new universe where superheroes are feared, but why reset it so far?  We already had JL Frontier, which had the theme of fear of superhumans.  Hopefully this just sticks with Darksied.

WTF happened to Batman? His voice and lines and delivery was horrendous! The DC animated films been mostly great. Might skip this one.

I never got to read flashpoint ;_;

It's funny that DC's animated movies are better than marvel's since marvel's live action movies wreck DC's. I mean  how can time warner do a better job with Harry potter, which they don't own than their own DC stories? Why do they feel the need to completely re-write all their award winning comics and characters when they put them on the big screen? it boggles my mind.

Some things that are okay in comic books don't transfer over very well into the big screen. Take for instance Batman taking a little kid with him to fight crime.

Sucks that they replaced Aquaman with Shazam. I really wanted to see the shark scene. At least Aquaman will get his own animated movie.

Here's the shark scene if you're interested.

Well first off, they don't have to have it be a little kid. Tim drake was a teenager when he was chosen for robin. And i might totally wrong (too lazy to fact check) but wasn't Jason Todd as well?

But even if they did choose a kid (a little damian we'll say) then they could use a kid. He doesn't have to even actually be damian's age, as long as he looks it. I mean kicka** had young teens fighting in it, ender's game was also about little kids, and

Spoiler
it still had a serious fight scene between the kids. \

And honestly who frinking cares? Why can't a kid kick some butt once in a while?

Also I loved that shark scene. I'm pretty sure it was an almost direct response to a lot of the crap aquaman constantly gets.

Kick-Ass isn't taking itself seriously like Marvel and DC movies which makes it somewhat okay. DC could do Robin/Nightwing like Marvel did Bucky where he is (i think) the same age as Captain America or near it. I'm not entirely against child/teen Robin as long as the actor has decent acting ability and doesn't wimp out on the training. It's all up with the studios on what they will do with them. Either way I don't think Robin would play a big role anyways (Definitely not in Man of Steel 2 or Justice League) they can save him for Teen Titans/Young Justice movie if they are ever willing to make one. We'll just have to wait and see what they will do with him in the Ben Affleck stand alone Batman movies.

I'm not familiar with Ender's Game so I will skip that.

I don't really see JL: War being directly after Flashpoint Paradox. There were still time ripples after Flash fixed what he did ie. they got new costumes. So since there were still some time ripples how they met and their origins were altered slightly, but not as much as the first time ripples in Flashpoint. JL: War is the new take on how they all met and created the team, and since this is loosely based on the first seven New 52 comics the Flash, just like Green Lantern will not know that Batman is real. The only ones that will know each other are the Flash and Green Lantern. The Flash not knowing Batman is real will make Flashpoint Paradox happen after they create the team and get to know each other better, as you can see at the end of Flashpoint. They are just simply showing their new altered team up story with JL: War.
