So let's compare that to another small indie title that is still in development.....
Oh a Hat in time blows it away.
Flavoured cats really just looks bad and plays bad.
(edit) Actually that's clearly an unfair comparison. Flavoured cats looks to be pre alpha. Still they coulda done something better even for a teaser.
I don't know what your expecting, this is a game coming from the people who are releasing this on the eshop in a mere month.
