Again with the no factual point thing...
As I've mentioned before on other threads. The 3DS has only had 2 waves of games(launch to Kidi Icarus-ish and New Super Mario Bros 2 to the present). There are plenty of franchises to be explored. There has only been ONE Pokemon release. The GBA had 3. The DS had 5. We've got 3 to 4 solid years left before this system gets replaced. It's selling like hotcakes. We may see the successor in 3 years but it probably won't be relevant for 4-5. I'm sorry it doesn't have HD graphics, but the hardware works and the games are fun. If you can't see that these are the reasons that Nintendo makes their decisions (and why people play their games) based on things like this you have no business entering a discussion with any Nintendo fan.
Oh my goodness, lol.
, * 240p, a terrible CPU, crappy speakers, 3D not being used as it once was, Square Enix and Capcom developing more on smartphones than the 3DS,etc.
Apparently those aren't facts. I don't know what cave you're living in but you need to wake up to reality. Nintendo using low-end parts when they are a billion dollar company worth more than Sony is utterly ridiculous. It doesn't take much money to invest in a better screen. A 240p screen in 2014 is absolutely a joke. 720p is the new norm on many smartphones and android devices. The handheld market is different from it once was 10 years ago. Times have changed. Technology has advanced.
Your argument that the 3DS is selling like hotcakes means nothing. The PS3/360/Wii sold like hotcakes, why make a successor when we could still profit off the same thing because it still sells so good? It's weak. Plenty of consoles/handhelds sold well in the past yet had short life cycles. Just because the DS had a "long" one doesn't mean the 3DS will have one. At this point the 3DS has had more franchises out than the DS.

You are heavily delusional if you think that this is lasting to 2018. You really are. Nintendo has no competition in Sony anymore. They're going to be shifting their attention to the smartphone/android market. Nintendo can't afford to keep releasing old tech systems with specs from the 00s. They need to capture the casual audience by advancing with the times. You haven't proven anything. All you've done is cover your ears and pretend that Nintendo is the rainbow for using old technology because its so "cost efficient"
