But in reality, I would have released it a year later, with extremely powerful innards. Not only would it be a better system, it would finally shut up everyone who makes an article/thread about how awful the system is compared to the xbox one and ps4.

That's also what has put a lot of consumers off from purchasing the console.

Honestly adding more power would be next to useless if those are your reasons (imo). People don't rag on the Wii U's power because of the Wii Us power because it's made by Nintendo. The amount of money they would have to spend to make it powerful enough to shut people up (which would have to be much much more powerful than than the Ps4 & Xbone) wouldn't be worth it, because then everyone else would just find some other idiotic thing to rag on. Heck I wouldn't be surprised if the same idiots who like to grunt at their system power started supporting the power isn't everything argument.

 

I would either change the name so it's not so similar to the Wii, or advertise more

A little more horsepower. Like 3 gigs of ram instead of two or a quad core processor. I dunno. I really like the console the way it is to be honest, therefore the only way it could be "better" is if it had a little more under the hood.

I wished Nintendo would've marketed the console better at launch. To be honest, I didn't even know until a month or two before that the Wii U was being released. Even now the marketing isn't up to where it should be. Nintendo has a great product, they just have to make sure everyone knows about it
