There's a possibility now that Nintendo may buy out some publishing and development studios, what studios would you like Nintendo purchasing?

 

For me I'd like Nintendo to acquire Sega. Liquidate the publishing house, allow all current multiplatform IPs published by Sega to be published (and adding Wii U to any current Sega Xbox One and PS4 games in development) to the list, then shut it down, liquidate any assets.

 

Then move 50% of Sega's development staff into Nintendo development studios and bring the other 50% into smaller development studios while salvaging and liquidating the rest. Keeping the Sega name for development.

 

For me the amount of varied and unique IPs suddenly becoming Nintendo exclusive would be a gigaton bomb that would shake the industry to its core. It would be expensive, but with all those IPs along with profits and character licencing opportunities it's something that would be worth it in the long run 

 

I'd also purchase Mega Man off Capcom along with the publishing rights to Resident Evil 2 and 3 for remake purposes.

Nintendo should buy Platinum, get them to make F-Zero and Starfox. Sega would be good but would never happen, as with Capcom.

I'd want them to buy Sega for their Ip's.
Platinum Games for their talent and let them make at least 1 star fox game. (more if sucessfull)
But I would also like them to buy Squere Enix, solely so that I won't have to buy a Ps4 for KH3.

I'd honestly just consider buying the company for the IPs and let EAD or someone in-house make the games.

 

Pretty sure a few of the people from the N64 games would consider coming back if Nintendo held the reins again.

(edit) I just noticed that they aren't purchasing the developer treasure but are purchasing treasury stocks :/

I'd say it counts as an acquisition. it helps protect Nintendo because a lower stock price can make them vulnerable to takeovers.

StarFox? yes. Metroid? NO!! Not a Platinum kind of game. Fox needs a return and Kamiya and company could make a good game out of it. I'm with everyone else who wants F-Zero to go to Shi'nen as Fast Racing i close enough that they could do it with minimal involvement from Nintendo.

Nintendo should buy Shin'en and Next Level Games. I would love for them to buy Mistwalker. Above anyone else for me,Mistwalker and let them be them like they have with Monolith.

 

Can you imagine most the best talent that made Squaresoft in the 90's working for Nintendo? We Have Brownie Brown and Monolith but then the Father of Final Fantasy as well? Then a Monolith/Mistwalker collaboration! Holy mint smelling farts Batman!...*pant* sorry fanboygasm....

They can find a new eDRAM plant, I'm sure Nintendo aren't stupid enough to just twiddle their thumbs, either that or Sony profit off the Wii U and secretly try and promote the Wii U so it sells well and they make money off Nintendo buying their eDRAM?
