Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes can be finished in under 2 hours and speed run in less than 5 minutes, Game Informer claims.

The mag warns consumers to think of Ground Zeroes as a "paid, standalone version of the Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty demo that was included with Zone of the Enders on the PlayStation 2," adding, "judged just by the core story mission, Ground Zeroes is short.

"We completed it in just less than two hours. Konami says internal testers can speed run the main mission in around five minutes. How quickly it takes to complete the main mission and explore the camp is up to the player, but the extra missions give the game a little more replayability."

Nobody buy this.

40 dollars for a game that is an hour.

I'm guessing there's a lot of cutscenes?

Some people always have a cellphone on them. I'm so awesome I always have a 3DS.

As big of a MGS fan as I am, and as much as I will preach that a game's length doesn't matter, I will not be picking this up, and I implore everyone to do the same. You're paying for what's essentially a cut tutorial, from a main game. No matter what you argue, you're paying good money for what's essentially a demo, and that's not ok in my book.

I can't buy it but I want to.

Of course I'd get the $20 digital version...

Hideo Kojima posted this on Twitter yesterday as a responce.

"MGSV Ground Zeroes includes the main mission along with 5 Side Ops. All missions include elements sich as "Trial Records," where players can compete against each other online. This is not a linear game like in the past. GZ offers freedom and approach & play style, which we hope players will enjoy over & over without boring. I believe people will be satisfied with the "Play Time" of GZ and not stress the "Clear Time," which is the standard for linear games."

Will I get this? I'm not sure. I want to play it because it looks fun, but this is essentially buying the Tanker Chapter or the Virtuous Mission separately. If I do get it it will be the digital 360 version so I can get it the cheapest. Then again, I still need to finish Peace Walker, so I will finish that first before I make a decision.

Not really surprising given MGS4. I think Kojima cares more about cinematics and storytelling than gameplay these days.
