I agree they should look like PS3 cases however they should have their own unique look. They SHOULD NOT look like Wii's DVD like cases. Remember the Dreamcast had "CD cases" and when the next gen consoles arrived all had DVD cases. In this case, PS4 and Xbox 720 will have Blu-Ray like cases. Nintendo doesn't want to be the only one without it.

Well, no. PS3-style cases are only for media that is contained on Bluray discs, Wii U games will be on DVDs. I don't think they have too much to worry about anyway since neither Nintendo nor Microsoft would be able to use Blurays on their next gen systems, Sony just wouldn't allow it.

I don't think the covers will be black either, white is kind of Nintendo's thing these days and it helps them stand out from the competition in some ways. Plus the system and controller itself is white, so I'd assume Nintendo would want a matching box. I don't mind though, the bright white Wii boxes look pretty nice IMO and I'd love to be holding a more mature game like GTA5 or BF3 in one of them. :D

It's still blu ray tech, just not licensed to sony!

Wii U games will not be on DVDs. Nintendo had already confirmed that it would be their own proprietary discs that can hold the same storage space as Blu-Ray discs.

Ah, interesting. This makes Microsoft the only one of the big three to still use DVD sized storage for their games. That could hurt them in the long run if they don't release Xbox 720 soon.

I hope the Wii U doesn't use those recycle cases. I mean it is nice to save the plastic, but it makes the cases flimsier.
The games deserve to be put in a quality case!

I don't have a problem with the Eco-Cases. Yeah, they may feel flimsy, but on a shelf, they fit in fine (and it's only the disc that really matters, not the case)

I'd like it to be orange or red, but white would probably fit in with the U better

Yeah, if Microsoft used DVD sized storage for the 720 then they hurt them selves because there are so many 360 games coming out that are 2 disks because it does not have the memory to store a huge game.
