So Nintendo is doomed, right? I heard they were doomed.
I'm pretty sure they're doomed because...because.
The post above was certified to be simply smashing by the Wii U Forum Staff.

The gaming world never ceases to amaze me. Nintendo takes a loss in the millions and people act like the company is already dead and buried. Sony loses over a billion and no one bats and eye except to say how great they're doing. Anyone who doesn't think there is a severe amount of bias in this industry is either a tool or lacks a working brain.

come one guys, million is larger than a billion. didn't you take math class in school?
Posted 06 February 2014 - 07:05 PM
go ahead and look at IGN... because this 1.1 BILLION loss forecast is not on their but guess what is PS4 selling really well

Sony just shut down the PC division and fired 5000 people. SONY DOING AWESOME! Nintendo post loss but still in good enough shape to build new HQ and 3DS at 40Mill sold. DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMED!

But you guys do know that Sony's gaming division posted a 67% growth, right? Sony has a diverse company that makes a lot of things, smartphones, TV's, Movies, Labtops. But with Nintendo it's just video games.

yeah but a lot of their products are failing and you know the PS4 is selling for a loss right along with psvita and for a reallllly long time the ps3 did too

And yet they still posted a pretty significant loss. Just because one part of the company is doing well doesn't offset the company as a whole losing money.

Sony does have a lot of other things they do.
Movies, games, pc, laptops phones etc...
So them lossing money isn't seen as bad as Nintendo who mainly does ds and wii u games n systems.
That's just how I see it. But ever company takes s loseat some point in time.

Sorry, the 64% "growth" doesn't make up for last gen and some 5 billion in losses on the PS3. It started making money in the last few years of it's life cycle but not taking them out of the red for it.

Not anymore. Sony just shut down the PC division. Sony keeps shutting down divisions last few years and laying off thousands. Sony the last 3-4 years has fired more people than 5 Nintendo's. Sony is gushing. PS4 is selling well.. that's like getting a hand job while you had your wrists slit.

I stand by the old adage, that doing one thing well is much better then doing many things average. Often this catches up with many people, and companies.

What?go ahead and look at IGN... because this 1.1 BILLION loss forecast is not on their but guess what is PS4 selling really well
Actually, they're making about $100 on each p4 I think, might be less, but they're making a profit on each p4 box, since it's all really low-power rainbow tablet/bargain basement pc components.yeah but a lot of their products are failing and you know the PS4 is selling for a loss right along with psvita and for a reallllly long time the ps3 did too
The overall Sony company is forecasting/posting that loss.Sony does have a lot of other things they do.

Why is the only thing we can say good about the Wii U "Well, Sony lost a rainbow ton of money"?
ugh

Isn't Sony losing money on each console sold?

Yep, Sony is getting their ass kicked by cheap Korean electronics. The Japanese government won't ever allow one of their most ubiquitous international exporters to go bankrupt, though. That would be catastrophic for the Japanese public and jobs sector.
It's kind of disturbing how you guys are all going around spreading this stuff as if it was a good thing.
