It's a shame if it doesn't come to Wii U... I really liked Arkham City Armored Edition

In this Nintendolife article they state that "[...] PS3 or 360 [...] given that Nintendo's console is a closer match in terms of technological power to those systems than it is to recently-released "next gen" platforms." Is that really true?

Not surprising. Sales probably weren't too great anyway.

If there is no Wii U version (which is highly likely) then this is just further proof of the endless "third parties don't sell on nintendo" cycle.

  • Third party releases a decent, but year old port to a newly launched console and it doesn't sell very well.
  • They then release a sequel which is gimped and badly ported to the wii u. The game is also poorly received on all platforms.
  • The sequel doesn't sell well.
  • Third party abandons console saying "oh well, we tried".

It is also Wii U owners' own fault as well though, Arkham City was brilliant on the Wii U but still no one bought it.

We should probably all get used to hearing this sort of news from now on.

There's actually a trailer and everything.

Still no Wii U version however.

Features include: A bigger Gotham, a Batmobile you can drive, and more I can't remember.

I'm  not paying $60 for a year-old game I already paid full price for at release...I mean, honestly. At the time Arkham City Wii U released, the GoTY Edition was already out and $30-40 on other platforms.

Oh I know, but the problem is that even good games released on time are ignored by Wii U owners.

But those games are rare anyway.

According to VGChartz, Arkham Origins sold around 150K copies on Wii U while it sold 1.56 million for PS3, 1.33 million on Xbox 360. That's not even 10%...not even sure there was a huge amount of profit on that end.

Maybe if you kids buy Arkham Blackgate for the Wii U they'll reconsider.

I actually plan on getting that day 1. Me personally I don't care for the Arkham 3d world games. I like the idea of the 2.5D handheld version up port. I also like the price point. This game not coming to WiiU doesn't effect me any. If you don't already know if you decide to buy a Nintendo home console better have something you can play PC version of 3rd party games if you care that much. Me personally I am fine with Nintendo 1st party and the indie love Wii are getting for WiiU.

still that sounds like they could have at least made a little right? so the only reason they nave to drop wii u is because they think we're not worth the time then.

Then that info is worthless VG just guesses and are never right even when NPD numbers comes out they don't correct it. But would not doubt it didn't do great. Esp since they Cut the DLC like all 3rd party does. Not played the Arkam games but since this is not on Wii U then why the Wii U section?

According to VGChartz,
