I think they should. Shokio makes a good point that Nintendo will certainly reveal Zelda for the Wii U at e3 this year and that should be done for a live audience for maximum impact... not just in a Nintendo Direct.

Zelda U will be amazing.
Add me on Wii U if you want to settle it in Smash

Of course they will with the big guns all coming out this year, they didn't have that many big first party titles last year so that's probably why they weren't on stage.

Yeah, image is really important and Nintendo need to show some presence in the gaming world again. What they should be thinking is "We tried the direct last year and that doesn't seem to have worked. Let's try a live conference again". I absolutely loved the 2010 conference, especially when they revealed DK:
The audience reaction really makes the reveal more exciting.
Unfortunately I think they will just go for a Direct again.

I think Nintendo will go for a Nintendo Direct again. It would be good for them to have an on-stage presence again, but I do not like all the boring business talk that goes along with it.

No need to worry about nintendo business talk. There are not any good numbers to highlight except for 3ds and 1st party meta critic numbers
Yeah, and that's boring enough.

They should yes. At minimum they need to get the direct aired on the TV channels showing E3.

Not bothered either way. Nintendo Direct usually been better than most E3 stage shows. Every year people get super hyped for the stage shows which cost hundreds of thousands to set up and rent the space and what not and every year it;s an hour of blowhards in suits who could not sell a turd to a fly. use buzz words like revolutionary and show me more shiny headlights from a racing game and more FPS games that look the same as the previous 5 iterations. Nintendo gets people up there and talk about puppies a sprained wrist and Wii sports something Wii something. Everyone comes to the forums all pissed off or bored from it. ND's save a lot on that and just get straight to the games also with ND they seem to show more obscure stuff than when on stage they often showed what they thought would be the most recognizable and easy to sell.
Sure I miss things like Zelda Orchestra but I honestly feel ND is just fine. I'd be ok with a stage show but feel they would skip over X in favor of something more easy to sell.

Yeah, they definitely need to bring back the theatrics. You know you're doing it right when you hear gamers screaming like fangirls at a pop concert. Unfortunately I think people are gonna end up disappointed at E3. Again.

I think last year`s E3 ND showed that not only there`s a low impact caused by revealing the ND way, it also showed how special Nintendo`s E3 presentations really are. If i may, one of a kind - of all E3 conferences. There`s just no denying it.
I garante there will be a Nintendo conference!
