This is simply a sad and devastating story :(

No smoke monster?

K..fine.

Heard about this bizarre and sad. They ruled out terrorism but it's really wierd. They found the oil slicks were not from the plane I think I heard since and that the plane was way way off course heading in the wrong direction. 2 guys boared with false passports but were identified. Everything about this is very odd.

I heard this late last week....a little strange, and you would think with all the "security" people with stolen passports would have been caught in the airport /:

THIS!

SO MUCH THIS!

Edit: apparently a burning plane was spotted flying over an oil rig. The government is sending out a plane to investigate. If this turns out to be true then that means the plane is somewhere in the south china sea, very far from their initial search area.

^I hear that they were verified not as terrorist though. Considering how the pilots didn't seem to make a Mayday call, it seems that either a bomb, an explosive decompression, or a mechanical failure was the cause. I've been watching too many Mayday episodes.

Yeah those guys with the stolen passports were found to have no terrorist ties.

Mechanical failure is a possibility but then I have read that experts say that any type of mechanical failure would give the pilot time to send out an emergency call. As for an explosion or something similar, those would usually be caught on satellite and surely debris would have been found by now.

It's all very strange.

So I guess at this point it's looking more and more likely that there's now 239 more deaths to add to the total for 2014. If so, my condolences to the families of the deceased, and may the victims rest in peace.

It's better than the alternative.

So the pilot and co pilot have been ruled out or are they still the main suspects? One theory is it disintegrated in the air completely but that doesn't explain how the plane still sent signals hours after. Bottom of the ocean I think.

So I guess it's confirmed that the plane wrecked in the ocean, killing every passenger and crew member on board. I said this before, but my condolences to the families, and may the deceased rest in peace.
